Not Your Normal ABC Book

Not Your Normal ABC Book

“A” is for Agama lizard who adjusts his tail to leap, onto surfaces quite slippery and angles really steep.

“B” is for bouncing baby brother with berries on his breath, blowing bubbles.

“C” is for cantaloupe, cabbage, celery and cauliflower, casting shadows on the counter.

“D” is for delighted dogs drinking directly from Dad’s dinner dish.

“E” is for elevators, escalators, entries and exits. Ever entered an exit accidentally?

“F” is for friendly foxes and felines finding free food in the foyer.

“G” is for grins and grimaces, giggles and guffaws.

“H” is for hungry hordes eating healthy hamburgers. Harrumph!

“I” is for itchy ivy and icy ice cream. Itching is irritating, isn’t it?

“J” is for jackrabbits jumping for joy. Jubilation!

“K” is for knitted knickers with knees kneaded by kittens in kitchens.

“L” is for light laundry lounging in the lanai. Look at that.

“M” is for mustard and mayonnaise on my macaroni. Mmm! Mouthwatering.

“N” is for nectarines neatly nestled in a nook, next to a nervous cook.

“O” is for oodles of noodles at an opera opening. Ooooh!

“P” is for pencil poised to print a P, or perhaps you’d prefer a pen?

“Q” is a quiet question queried in a quorum.

“R” is a rich red raspberry riddled with seeds.

“S” is for silly seeds in raspberries. Also strawberries, sweet and succulent.

“T” is for terrible tattoos on trembling teenagers. Tee hee.

“U” is for underneath undulating urchins unless you’d rather it be for umbrellas. It’s up to you.

“V” is for vision, visors, vinyl, vanity and Vaseline. Vrooom.

“W” is for waterfalls with wisteria and windows and whitewash and wonder.

“X” is for extravagant, exuberant, extraordinary, expert, extemporaneous, and Extra Special.

“Y” is for yawning. Are we done yet?

“Z” is for zip-lines buzzing and whizzing. Breezes and buzzards, wheezing and sneezing.

Achoo! …and that brings us back to “A”.
