Some poems track emotion
This one captures place
Neighborhoods delineated
By their vistas and space
Off Ralston, there's a point looking north to ‘Frisco.
Scan west toward the ocean and watch the mist
Gently gliding hungry fingers 'round rounded hills.
Look east to the Bay, shimmering and sun-kissed.
One of the first thing you notice, is trees are everywhere.
We have been recognized as a Tree City USA
By the Arbor Day Foundation, nine years running.
Husbanding our terra firma, year after year after year.
At our heart is Ralston and Alameda de las Pulgas.
Senior Living on the corner southwest.
Three churches draw north and south
Crowds for worship, Greek and Chocolate-fest.
Carlmont Shopping Village sits south east,
A beautiful thriving gem with
Bank, grocery, restaurants, hardware, plants.
Walkway's covered. …Oh, go see them.
A priority is schooling, both public and private:
Notre Dame de Namur, Carlmont High,
Charles Armstrong, Ralston Middle, Cipriani
Fox, Serendipity, Central. My oh my.
Parks, walking trails, even paths for Bikes
Water Dog Lake, Cipriani Field, Hallmark, McDougal,
To name a few. And Semeria has a playground we like.
Crystal Springs Cross Country, Sugarloaf Spur, Saddle
Belmont means beautiful mountain
And I’d say its name is apt
‘Cause as we walk its hills
With beauty, we are wrapped
