Homeowner

I am looking for you homeowner, and here’s what’s on my mind,

You’re a person who is reasonable, amiable and kind.

 You live in San Mateo County, and have for many years.

You’ve experienced life’s bounty, but now are switching gears.

 

Your home one full of children, now feels a bit forlorn

Your babies have grown up now and have babies of their own.

You want a place that’s cozy with a tiny garden patch,

Not too many stairs and maybe… just perhaps…

 

Your nest-egg better feathered

And horizons opened up

A chance for new friends and memories

To overflow your cup

 

With joy and satisfaction

And leave behind the pain

Of a back porch rot-infested

And the sink that doesn’t drain.
