We've all had the excitement of getting something new. How about in or on your house? This poem is about the joy of getting a new porch.
New Porch
As I tread upon our new step,
I feel a little thrill.
Golden brown and sturdy,
It tells of my love’s skill.
It is solid and it’s pretty,
And my heart skips a beat,
My husband he is handy, and
The construction it is neat.
I knew he had it in him,
But now I know for sure.
I really like my new porch,
Made of Redwood and not Fir
